Developers Wanted For Two Internships
Hilltop Partner Network is now recruiting for two internships focused on full stack software development with a strong emphasis on UX/UI, through the Mitacs Accelerate program.
These roles are a great fit for upper-year Computer Science undergraduates, graduate students, PhD candidates, or recent post-secondary grads with hands-on experience in software engineering, UI/UX design, and modern development frameworks.
These roles are remote, collaborative, and designed to give participants meaningful exposure to the innovation and partnership work happening within HPN.
Applications are open now and reviewed on a rolling basis.
Note that all applications must be submitted through the Mitacs site.
Current Internships

- Work in Agile, Rapid Iteration: Deliver functional increments quickly for feedback and refinement, while maintaining high code quality and test coverage.
- Prototype with Purpose: Make thoughtful technical choices that allow for flexibility and scalability as the platform evolves from prototype to MVP.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work cross-functionally with product managers, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to align development with product vision and usability goals.
HPN is seeking a software developer/engineer with experience in UX/UI design and development to develop the user interfaces. Activities will include:
- Design & Build Interactive User Interfaces: Develop intuitive, responsive, and accessible frontend components based on wireframes or design mockups using frameworks like React, Vue or NextJS.
- Implement Component-Based Architecture: Create reusable UI components (e.g., buttons, modals, forms, dashboards) that follow consistent styling and behavior, ensuring scalability as the platform evolves.
- Integrate Frontend with Backend APIs: Connect UI elements to backend services using REST or GraphQL APIs, enabling dynamic data rendering, form submissions, user authentication, and real-time updates in the prototype.
- User Feedback & Iteration: Collaborate with stakeholders and users to gather feedback on the UI/UX and iterate rapidly, refining workflows, layouts, and interactions based on usability findings.
- Ensure UI Performance & Accessibility: Optimize the UI for speed and cross-browser compatibility, while adhering to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) to ensure an inclusive experience across user types and devices.
