Welcome Hasini Jasinghage Dona a Full Stack Developer

We are pleased to welcome Hasini Jasinghage Dona (née Perera) to our team as a Full Stack Developer supporting our new AI-enabled software development initiative.

 

Hasini brings two years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining full-stack applications using Angular, Node.js, AWS, MongoDB, and MySQL, with a strong emphasis on backend architecture and test-driven development. She has worked across event-driven and data-driven systems and is experienced in agile environments and cloud-native development practices.

 

Hasini recently completed her Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan, where she focused on software quality in serverless systems. As part of her research, Hasini developed a serverless code analysis tool with OpenAI API integration to generate intelligent refactoring suggestions— experience that directly supports our AI-driven product direction.

 

Her master’s thesis, “Investigating Technical Debt in Serverless Computing: A Focus on Function-as-a-Service,” resulted in two peer-reviewed research publications: “ServerlessSense: A Serverless Smell Detection Tool”, accepted at the 19th European Conference on Software Architecture, and “Investigating Technical Debt Types, Issues, and Solutions in Serverless Computing”, accepted at the 9th International Conference on Technical Debt.

 

Hasini brings hands-on engineering expertise and a strong interest in building scalable, maintainable, and intelligent systems. We’re excited to have her contributing to this next phase of innovation at HPN!
